A word by professor Hamdi Hassan
Abdel Hamid El-Mahrouki, dean
of the faculty
It is a pleasure for me to extend my
cordial congratulations to every Egyptian living in our dear
country. My sincere thanks and hearty congratulations are
also extended to professor Maher El-Dumyati, president of
the university and to his vice – presidents for their
complete support to the faculty. I would also like to
express my gratitude to all my colleagues, staff-members,
personnel and workers.
My deepest thanks and appreciations should be conveyed to my
sons and daughters, teachers of the future and of next
generations. I would like to invite all of you to work
together and strive for the development and advancement of
our dear country and for preparing an equipped generation
able to cope with the challenges of our modern age. All this
is being done by a number of scholars, staff-members and
administration personnel who represent the elite in their
specific fields.
It has become necessary for all of us to work
conscientiously to place Egypt, our beloved country, in the
front under the leadership of president Mohammed Hosni
Mubarak, president of the Republic. However, I'd like to
give an informative idea about the faculty in the following
few lines.
The faculty comprises five scientific departments as
follows:
1.Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
2.Department of Foundations of Education.
3.Department of Comparative Education
4.Department of Mental Hygiene .
5.Department of Educational Psychology.
These five departments constantly contribute to developing
and modernizing the educational process. In addition, there
are 12 administrative service-providing bodies that offer
services to students and participate in the success of the
educational process.
The faculty has also its own obvious participation in
linking the educational process to the outside world and the
surrounding society via its units of specific nature, such
as the Educational and Psychological Information centre
which offers training sessions in computers, communication
and discourse, as well as ICDL sessions.
The faculty also has the most up – to – date laboratories,
provided with the most advanced and developed equipment for
enhancing the educational process, such as the computer
labs, the science labs, the mathematics labs, the language
labs and the psychology labs.
On behalf of the Faculty of Education, I appreciate the
effort of everybody who works hard for the success of the
educational process in this great scientific edifice.
May Allah guide us for the good of our dear country.
The Faculty Dean
Prof. Hamdi Hassan Abdel Hamid El-Mahroki
